Geoplanning has added a Sonic CRS-170 to its machinery fleet, the most powerful rig currently available in Spain featuring Sonic Drilling technology.

This new rig is designed to operate in highly complex ground conditions and can reach depths of up to 100 metres, significantly expanding our capabilities in geotechnical, environmental and mining tailings exploration projects.

The CRS-170 is also equipped with an automatic drill rod loader, a hydraulic arm for handling casing tubes and a design aimed at minimising the manual handling of heavy loads. It also provides improved ergonomic and safety conditions for the drilling operator and their assistant.

This technology enables drilling operations to be carried out more safely, efficiently and accurately, reducing the physical strain on the crew and improving performance throughout the drilling process.
